Can a dispensary ship to all 50 states? What's legal
No, a licensed dispensary cannot legally ship cannabis to all 50 states. Cannabis is federally illegal in the U.S., and interstate shipping of marijuana is prohibited. Only licensed dispensaries can sell and deliver within their state, and only where state law allows.
A good fit if…
- You're in California and want legal, tested cannabis delivered to your door.
- You value compliance and safety over convenience of interstate shipping.
- You want to support a licensed business that follows state regulations.
Consider another option if…
- You're looking for hemp-derived CBD products that can be shipped across state lines (but these are not the same as cannabis).
- You expect to order from out-of-state—this is not legal for cannabis.
For legal cannabis delivery in California, choose a licensed dispensary like Garden of Eden. We're fully licensed (C10-0000295-LIC) and deliver same-day to the East Bay and Tracy.
Dispensary
A dispensary is a place where medications or supplies are distributed. Originally, it referred to a pharmacy in a hospital or clinic where a pharmacist would dispense medicines according to prescriptions. The term comes from medieval Latin, meaning 'to distribute.' Over time, the word also came to describe legal cannabis retailers. In the cannabis industry, a dispensary is a licensed store that sells marijuana products to consumers, either for medical or recreational use. Unlike a traditional pharmacy, a cannabis dispensary focuses on products like flower, edibles, vapes, and concentrates. With the rise of delivery services, a dispensary can now bring its products directly to your door, making it more convenient than ever to access legal cannabis. For you, this means you can get the same quality products and expert advice from a licensed dispensary without leaving home.

What is a dispensary? And what does 'dispensary delivery' mean?
A dispensary is a place where medications or medical supplies are dispensed. In the cannabis context, a dispensary is a licensed retailer that sells cannabis products to consumers. Dispensary delivery means the dispensary brings the products to your door, rather than you visiting the store.
At Garden of Eden, we're a licensed California dispensary that offers both in-store shopping and delivery. Our delivery service is designed to bring the dispensary experience to you, with the same quality products and knowledgeable staff.
